'Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies' recipe was the top blog
post of 2012 and 'Gym Motivation' was, BY FAR, the most popular search term.

New Year's Eve 2012
Yay New Year's Eve! Raise your hand if you had a perfectly sexified outfit for the big night and then went out and bought a whole new one just because you cannot have enough sequin right now? True story, all year long. Here's the final verdict (for now).

How to Throw An End of the World Party
It’s time to party like it’s December 21st, 2012! Whether it’s happening or not, I’ve already started putting things off with the notion that the end of the world may set me back a few days. Procrastinators gonna procrastinate. So let’s do this up undergrad-style and make a party out of nothing!

DIY Christmas Nip Tree
Watch out Martha, I've got the ultimate Yankee Swap gift!
I made this last year for a friend who was taking a winter cruise and had a master plan of sneaking some nips on board. I surround myself with rebels. Very simple with a mega wow factor. Has anyone else noticed all my DIY's include nips?

Fashion on Instagram
My fashion tab is lacking! I rock it, you just can't see it. Probably because I'm too busy yelling about old ladies. Follow Bishop And Rook on Instagram for fashion clips. I promise I'll get back on that train shortly.

Aside from the obvious bottle of vino, what do you get your wine lover? Gadgets, games and accessories of course!

Rock Out With Your Cocktail Out Vol. VI
The Ancient Mayan's predicted that the end of the world would happen December 22, 2012. Coincidence it's on a Friday? I think not!
Celebrate the end of world with a Santa Magrarita and an indie/punk/not too sure what category this falls under/rock playlist. Merry Christmas!

Holiday Detox
A much needed detox...after I eat these leftover mashed potatoes and finish this wine. I don't know about you, but after a weekend of reckless eating and drinking, I'm in need of some serious recuperation before the next wave of holiday celebrations. There are a lot of different ways to detoxify your body, here are my top ten favorites.

Girly Secret Weapons
"I swear by this product." We've all said it. Whether it's a new affection towards dry shampoo or your weekly ritual of pore cleansing
facial masks, there is at least one product to help keep the grossness
monster away. During the Thanksgiving to New Years Eve stretch, these products
become increasingly prominent when your calendar is booked solid with parties,
dinners and cocktail hours. Here are my top three products that are getting me through the holidays.

Cheers to the Liebster Award!
TWO Liebster Awards?! Pretty damn cool. I’m doing
something right.
I was awarded the Liebster by Sarabell at Sarah Being Sarabell and Brandi of No Map Provided (both very awesome blogs).
Liebster is a German word which means dearest. This award is for new bloggers
who have less than 200 followers and helps give them recognition and support.
It's also a great way to let someone know how much you love their blog!
Thank you Sarabell and Brandi, this is awesome!

Rock Out With Your Cocktail Out Vol. V
"Ladies, I don't usually drink liquor when I got out, but I need a gin and tonic, like right now," said more than one
of my friends on multiple occasions. However way you justify it, after a long
week, stop making tough decisions and go for a
reliable cocktail. Then press play on your November Spotify playlist and chill
the fuck out. Also grab your free Paper + Plastick fall sampler download, available for a limited time. Advice and free stuff, I'm your best friend.

Two Are Better Than One
Okay I'll admit it, I have a thing for two-piece bands.
Maybe there is an influx in duos, or maybe I just
prefer the intimate stage presence, but lately it's been pointed out to me that
if there are just two members in the band, I'll probably like them.

Social Faux Pas
I was on a social faux pa roll this weekend. Between staring blankly at acquaintances I ran into at the pumpkin patch (sorry guys), to introducing myself to someone I've met several times before, I pretty much win the spaz award.

Rock Out With Your Cocktail Out Vol. IV
Rumor has it, due to a less than adequate
harvest this year, the price of apple cider will rise. Better stock up if you
want to make the October Rock Out With Your Cocktail out drink, Sparkling
Chambord Cider. Awesome playlist availability not affected by bad apples.

Spring 2013 Peek into Punk
Talk to a twenty-something with a mohawk, band t-shirt, karabiner
with at least 15 keys, and full sleeve and he'll probably be able to tell you
which bar sells PBR, or explain that although his band sounds precisely
like Fugazi, it's it's own thing man. But he probably won't know who Steven Cox
and Daniel Silver of Duckie Brown are or think his DIY studded belt belongs in
a museum. Until now, but on his own terms, because he will rebel if you force him.

The Folk Punk Ruckus of Larry And His Flask
Lately I’ve been digging the supporting acts as much, if not
more, than the headliners. Cadence Weapon during the Japandroids show, Math the
Band on tour with Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and as of Friday, Larry and His Flask at the Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls show, September 7th, Royale, Boston.

Rock Out With Your Cocktail Out Vol. III
I have unintentionally acquired a lot of
school teacher friends who are pretty much the biggest whine faces on the
internets. You are two days into work after a three month vacation. You are not
allowed to have a Christmas break count down already! I love you guys, but honestly, screw you. Know how my summer was? It was a big pile of paper work and
hearing about how much you love the beach.
This drink is dedicated to all the hardworking office folk like myself who need a break. Forget an apple for the teacher, here's a caramel apple martini for the executive. And a fucking good playlist too.

Plan a Trip to Portland
Essentially a foodie pilgrimage, I spent three days and two
nights in Portland, Maine, (destroying my diet) being a fat kid.
Deciding to forego a typical Cape Cod Labor Day Weekend, we headed
up to Maine where our money could be spent on dietary delights that were Food
Network worthy. A basket of overpriced, indistinguishable fried food and melty
soft serve versus co-op harvested vegetables, grilled and pressed on locally
made artisan bread?
Welcome to Vacation Land.
Here is my mini-Maine guide to Portland.
Honestly, I was too busy eating to make out |

Boston Bloggers August Event
It might just be the beer talking, but Boston Bloggers
scene...I think I might have a crush on you.
As I had mentioned in my "Yeah It's Supposed to Look Like That" post, I was invited to my very first Boston Bloggers Meet and
Greet on Monday at The Mass Ave Tavern. An acceptable 25 minutes of fashionable
lateness, an Austin Powers parallel parking job (I admit, I accepted that
challenge), and a whirlwind gust of subway air to blow my hair in my face as I
walked into a sauna of a bar...here I am!

You Are Now Listening To...
Hey man, can I make a request? As Boston says "goodbye"
to a great alternative rock station, 101.7 WFNX, the airwaves seem distinctively clear (channel). While I'm so very glad that you can get your daily
dose of Rihanna, Coldplay, and Nickleback...what about the rest of us who crave
real, meaningful music? New sounds and artists? The vibes of our local scene? I
can truthfully say that I have been educated in the school of rock by some of
the hardest working outlets around, independent radio stations.

Rock Out With Your Cocktail Out Vol. II
As a die-hard Pinot Noir junkie, I know it's tough being a red
wine drinker in the summer. Somehow, your go-to full bodied vino just isn't as
refreshing as you need it to be.
White wine makes you sick / black out / angry (just me? okay),
Pink Moscato tastes like Kool-Aid, there are too many insults for Zinfandel, and
yes, Sangria is amaz-balls, but even that can get repetitive. Blasphemy I know,
but it's true. I was at a loss until a shiny label caught my eye. Sweet Red Wine?
Don't mind if I do. Sweet Red Wine with a tremendously awesome August Spotify
playlist? My summer is complete.

New England Food Truck Festival
How I almost became a Food Truck Groupie.
Last Saturday we ate our weight in food truck food at the
New England Food Truck Fest on the Charles River. It truly was a fat kid moment.
And I kind of wish we could do it again...every day.

Karma Jewelry
If former WFNX DJ Julie Kramer has taught me anything, it's
that coffee is a very necessary part of your day, always recycle, and forever recognize the power of good
karma.
Despite the universe totally dumping on me the last few
weeks, I keep thinking my good karma-ways will eventually turn things around. But
sometimes a girl needs a little support...and a pretty new accessory. Here are
some of my favorite harmonious pieces that will certainly add to your style
book, if not your cosmic providence.

Rock Out with Your Cocktail Out
To be truthful, the 4th of July is not my favorite holiday. Partly
due to the fact that cramming
onto a beach to watch fireworks isn't my style. So instead of sporting
that Old Navy flag t-shirt and waving around flammable objects, I'm going to
hang out on my porch, drink color coordinated cocktails, and listen to good music.
