Two Are Better Than One

Okay I'll admit it, I have a thing for two-piece bands.

Maybe there is an influx in duos, or maybe I just prefer the intimate stage presence, but lately it's been pointed out to me that if there are just two members in the band, I'll probably like them.

For the Single Ladies

So let’s be honest. I’m a girl, in my late twenties, and all my friends, slash pretty much anyone I’ve ever met, are engaged. Typically, I’m not really affected by what other people do. It's not like all my friends are jumping off a bridge made of buttercream and tulle and I need to follow suit. I’ve actually been quite content on my life decisions. I live in the city, I stay out late, I have artsy friends, I eat food from a truck. Yes ma'am, ideal 20's.

Buying my bridesmaid dress gave me enough
wedding anxiety to last me a few years

DIY Spooky Trees

Spooky doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. Use your creative bargain shopper ways to produce a trendy Halloween atmosphere that appears impressive, but just takes an out-of-the-box mentality, and a little spray paint.

Social Faux Pas

I was on a social faux pa roll this weekend. Between staring blankly at acquaintances I ran into at the pumpkin patch (sorry guys), to introducing myself to someone I've met several times before, I pretty much win the spaz award.

Class Reunion Dress Code

Breakout your Abercrombie T-shirt, Adidas shell toes, and Sum 41’s All Killer, No Filler album, because you're invited to your 10 year high school reunion!

Well, actually, I sort of invited myself, thanks Facebook event suggestions. So it's a partial voluntary, self-inflicted dilemma. What have I made of myself 10 years post semi-formals and pride rallies? Well...I've been eating broccoli and hummus for the last seven days because I can't afford to live. But my bills are paid! ...Except for that Visa bill that was buried under a pile of Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupons...

So what do I wear?

Too dressy?

DIY Halloween Costumes

This year I'm going to be a sexy (towel) watermelon! I cannot justify spending $50+ on a Halloween costume, that is no more fabric than a pillowcase. My DIY costumes are based on the current fashion trends, making items easily accessible and reusable post mischief and macabre.
