I was on a social faux pa roll this weekend. Between staring blankly at acquaintances I ran into at the pumpkin patch (sorry guys), to introducing myself to someone I've met several times before, I pretty much win the spaz award.

Rock Out With Your Cocktail Out Vol. IV
Rumor has it, due to a less than adequate
harvest this year, the price of apple cider will rise. Better stock up if you
want to make the October Rock Out With Your Cocktail out drink, Sparkling
Chambord Cider. Awesome playlist availability not affected by bad apples.

Spring 2013 Peek into Punk
Talk to a twenty-something with a mohawk, band t-shirt, karabiner
with at least 15 keys, and full sleeve and he'll probably be able to tell you
which bar sells PBR, or explain that although his band sounds precisely
like Fugazi, it's it's own thing man. But he probably won't know who Steven Cox
and Daniel Silver of Duckie Brown are or think his DIY studded belt belongs in
a museum. Until now, but on his own terms, because he will rebel if you force him.

The Folk Punk Ruckus of Larry And His Flask
Lately I’ve been digging the supporting acts as much, if not
more, than the headliners. Cadence Weapon during the Japandroids show, Math the
Band on tour with Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and as of Friday, Larry and His Flask at the Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls show, September 7th, Royale, Boston.

Rock Out With Your Cocktail Out Vol. III
I have unintentionally acquired a lot of
school teacher friends who are pretty much the biggest whine faces on the
internets. You are two days into work after a three month vacation. You are not
allowed to have a Christmas break count down already! I love you guys, but honestly, screw you. Know how my summer was? It was a big pile of paper work and
hearing about how much you love the beach.
This drink is dedicated to all the hardworking office folk like myself who need a break. Forget an apple for the teacher, here's a caramel apple martini for the executive. And a fucking good playlist too.

Plan a Trip to Portland
Essentially a foodie pilgrimage, I spent three days and two
nights in Portland, Maine, (destroying my diet) being a fat kid.
Deciding to forego a typical Cape Cod Labor Day Weekend, we headed
up to Maine where our money could be spent on dietary delights that were Food
Network worthy. A basket of overpriced, indistinguishable fried food and melty
soft serve versus co-op harvested vegetables, grilled and pressed on locally
made artisan bread?
Welcome to Vacation Land.
Here is my mini-Maine guide to Portland.
Honestly, I was too busy eating to make out |
