New Band Alert - Kitner Plays First Show At O'Brien's Pub on 9/23

See you at a rock and roll show.

Comprised of members of Choke Up, Save Ends, Holiday Music and a few other folks around town, new band Kitner will be playing their first show at O'Brien's Pub in Allston this September. Sources say the guitar driven sound is "like Weakerthans meets Bruce Springsteen." We do not have the words to describe that, so we'll have to hear it live for ourselves.

Head to O'Brien's Pub in Allston Rock City on Wednesday, September 23rd to catch Kitner open for Lee Corey Oswald (PDX), Soda Bomb (Long Island, NY) and local band Sneeze. Killer lineup = will sell out ∴ buy tickets in advance here. The show is 18+ // $10 // 8PM doors. View the official Facebook event page.

Wrong Body Has Right Sound with "Big"

Big out now and available for purchase on Bandcamp.

Big, the first LP from Boston's Wrong Body, takes notes from Fugazi-era post-hardcore, modern indie rock and dare we say a pinch of hard rock harmonies and riffs, but has all post-punk heart. Ghost Thrower summed it up best when they tweeted "Fucking @WRNGBDY is the best band you're not listening to."

Tune into Boston podcast, Mutiny on the Microphone, for music
and informative tidbits about the local scene.

Oh geeze, someone let us talk on the radio.

Kristin discusses her predictions for breakout Boston bands of 2014 in this week’s Mutiny on the Microphone podcast!

We must be doing something right because Adam over at Mutiny and the Microphone was nice enough to let me stumble my way through a list of eleven bands that blew my mind in 2013 and can only get bigger in the New Year. I promise, only one kitten tangent. Not too shabby for our first podcast appearance.
